Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Wading Pool Nursery involve water of any kind?

No, the Wading Pool Nursery does not involve water. Bathing suits are not required. It is simply a clever name for our nursery.

How old does my child have to be to start attending the Wading Pool Nursery?

Our recommendation is that your child be at least six weeks old prior to bringing him or her to the Wading Pool Nursery. If you would like to attend the adult worship services prior to your child being six weeks old, you are welcome to keep the child with you in the Worship Center or make yourself at home in the Cry Room located in the back of the Worship Center.

Is there a private area available for nursing mothers?

Yes. The nursery is divided into two rooms. Should a mother need to nurse her child that room will be made available to her.

Where is the Wading Pool Nursery?

The Wading Pool Nursery is located in the Fellowship Hall.

Will my child have the same teacher each week?

No. The caregivers volunteer on a rotating schedule.

How will you contact me if my child needs me?

You will receive a pager when you sign your child in. If your child becomes inconsolable or unwell, the caregiver will page you. If you are paged, please return to the nursery. If you would like to see the remaining portion of the worship service, you may take your child to the Cry Room located in the back of the Worship Center where you will be able to view the entire service.

How can I volunteer in the Wading Pool Nursery?

Once your child attends regularly, you will be able to help serve as a Volunteer Helper in our Wading Pool Nursery. After going through our background check process, most parents rotate, helping in at least one service per month.

Will my child be served a snack?

Your child will move out of the nursery and into one of our preschool Sunday School classes upon reaching his or her second birthday.
